Ok I got everything working nicely.

I downloaded the latest 3.6.0-rc7-wl from *ft-powersave* branch.
Tested with just compiling on my dev box but had constant reboots.
I then downloaded the latest Compat-wireless drivers recommended by
Chun-Yeow and Thomas.
I compiled and uploaded the updates folder to the kernel on my routers and
everything works.

I have ath5k mesh and authsae working nicely
and also have ath9k mesh and authsae working nicely
