Why are we going to switch the versioning mechanism to another system that tells users absolutely nothing about what the version number means?
If Sabayon 6.x (or simply 6) isn't going to correlate with an entropy branch, then the 6 doesn't tell the users anything. I understand if going all the way to 5.4189 doesn't sound appealing, but couldn't we at least switch to a system that gives some information. While I am typically not one to say that Ubuntu does anything right, at least their version mechanism immediately tells you when it was released. I don't know. Maybe I missed the point. -Stuart
