I know how to workaround this problem, but my suggestion is for let sabayon overlay to be able to be used more widely by our users simply adding it and installing packages not yet available in Gentoo from your overlay. That would also add a chance to even co-maintain that overlay in the future both (Gentoo and Sabayon developers), as that overlay would be 100% compatible for both systems and sabayon specific parts would still be maintained only by Sabayon devs on a separate tree.
