actually I believe the t30 has a full fledged mobility radeon 7500 on board. regardless, the issue seems to be that the max res supported by the DVI port is 1280x1024. running the port at 1200x1600 is beyond the specs (and not supported). I don't really see this as a problem. if you run at 1200x1600 you take your chances; if it works great, if not then you are out of luck. Frankly most graphics cards I've seen max out at 1280x1024 on the DVI port.
