I compared the sizes as well. I must look. I have somewhere written a CRC32
tool to compare files.

Yes. People said they got about 2500 FPS with this card.

1500 frames in 5.0 seconds = 300.000 FPS

At your suggestion I found one liGL.so.1 which was still linked to the xf86
lib, but changing that also didn't help.

You think it would be worth to reinstall KDE? I would like to debug the
startup from KDE, but I haven't much experience with X/KDE stuff.
