I don't personally mind moving over, as svn does seem to be a better cvs. It has some problems importing a huge CVS codebase while preserving history, but I think nedit is small enough it would work OK.
The main question is whether svn is *working* on non-Linux platforms so that people who don't use a Linux are not stuck.
