Their license seems to have a bit of a split personality probably
because it's part standard boilerplate and part politics-specific. The
24-hour provision specifically is intended to protect the Guardian
from libel claims, but I don't think politics data is really going to
constitute libel in any case.

As for mash-ups, it does say you're allowed to "Use the API Content as
a basis for analysis and comparison".
