Ah, brilliant, I was hoping something like that would exist. Thanks for the 
heads up. Let's hope that Apple, Google and others adopt it as a standard.

It was a demo, and I don't think they've announced which version of the Android 
it'll be available in yet.

I'm presuming (hoping) that it'll use something like this API: 
http://www.w3.org/TR/html-media-capture/, which is still very much a working 
draft.  Hopefully Apple will implement it at some point too - in some way 
they're the ones leading the move away from user-accessible filesystems, and 
more towards personal 'libraries' of photos and media.
