Meh, it bloody does. It's just nobody's done it properly yet. I tried Xero - it was quite good, but its capability for reconciling bank accounts wasn't quite up to scratch for Hackspace. Tom: you're probably best off using Sage - it's the de-facto standard and all the accountants understand it. I don't think it does anything you mentioned, though.
