As regards data protection, probably. As regards privacy, maybe. As regards copyright, certainly not.
Data protection, privacy and copyright are three entirely different things. Don't make the mistake of confusing them. And, for that matter, don't make the mistake of assuming that the Data Protection Act is all that matters as far as data protection is concerned.
