well, perhaps you are right. It would depend on what kind of stuff people would like to share, but it would be conveneant to publish it as an 'application' in most cases. I just mentioned the modules becouse it is one of the logical extention points of mmbase, and that suggests that meaningfull independent extentions can be created at this point. I must admit in reality it dous not seem to pan out that way. So perhaps the distinction is undesirable...
