It seems that htmlarea is not supported anymore. At the moment the best replacement is fckeditor http://www.fckeditor.net/ which does also support XHTML and pasting Word text including a cleanup. This would be a real improvement for the Editwizards, or it may be used as a general editor for a new XHTML guitype field. Using XHTML means that you can use XSLT transformations to change or clean layout inserted by users. If I have time I can take a look at it, but I assume that I am not the only one who is interested in a better support of editing page layout.
