Actually, I'd say we should not inherit the 'developers' section of the pom any more, but correctly state, per 'application' who _are_ the developers of it. If that is only one person, you could interpret it as a 'contribution'. I just added 'developers' and 'contributors' sections to my pom: https://scm.mmbase.org/speeltuin/mihxil/streams/pom.xml I think that this is much better then a vague 'applications' vs 'contributions' distinction, as this does actually indicate precisely who is responsible, rather than a binary distinction between 'applications' (responsibility of the complete community) and 'contributions (responsibility of someone else).
