Would it be a nice idea to enter a 'freeze' soon?

Yes, but not without the proper releaseplan.

I imagine that in a 'freeze' period only bugs described in
http://www.mmbase.org/bug may be fixed (and of course new ones can be
added). When they are all fixed or otherwise considered with, 1.6 will be
ready for a branch.

I think 1.6 contains lots of new functionality and fixes, and it is
desirable that it will be released. It should be as backwards compatible as
possible with 1.5, an upgrade should not be very difficult.

What's the status of the following projects:

- MMCI-1.2
- Editwizards
- Richtext

There have been a lot of big changes, these must be identified so these can be tested when releasing a release candidate.

So freeze, ok, but not without a releaseplan. I started creating a releaseplan (bases on the one you sent a long time ago) and will post it next week.
