Hmm, what we could do is
- Reinstate the [profiles] share
- Auto-create a symlink from
/home/e-smith/files/samba/profiles/${user} -> ~user/._winprofile
The advantage is that we return to using the one directory for all
Win* versions, which makes deskhopping between versions somewhat cleaner.
It's somewhat ugly and we would need to confirm that the symlink trick
works. It is, however, no more/less work than creating a subdirectory
per user, but keeps the view consistent.
