I did a little reasearch on this parameter and a bit of subsequent testing.
The samba include parameter interpretes the include file real-time. I
successfully used it to setup local profiles in one instance and roaming in
another. The parameter takes the form: include =
/etc/smb.conf.samba-variable

UNFORTUNATELY, I could not get this parameter to work with %U or %u samba
variables. However, I did get the parameter to work with the %m samba
variable. Specifically,
1)I input the parameter include = /etc/smb.conf.%m in my smb.conf file,
2)Created several smb.conf.xxxxx files for various test client machines.
These "smb.conf snippets" contained samba parameters to use roaming profiles
for one machine and local for another,
3)Logged onto the test machines and checked to see what type of profile the
client was using.

I'll see what more I can find out about this thing by posting on the Samba
mailing list.

Greg Zartman
