G'day from OZ, newbie chirp.

I desire to use a satellite incoming link with phone line outgoing. You're
forced to do this sort of stuff downunder. I'm not sure this is a real
development thing but I'll contribute a "howto" at least when done. I've
seen 3 or 4 queries with a similar request whilst I've been watching the
list but no responses. Has anyone out there achieved this ?. Pipe up now
or put up with the dullard questions. There's definitely a base of users
seeking this (3-4 questions say so).

Basically the Sat card has published drivers for kernels 2.2.14 thru
2.2.17 - the card is Telemann Skymedia 200D (it's one of two for which I can
find Linux drivers). This encompasses the e-smith 4.1.2 kernel (stable and
I'm more than happy with it - 'twas NT based stuff before that). First
question to the knowledgeable dudes - I'm going to run it up on a new
machine with SME-5 can I expect these drivers to work or should I skip the
issue and stick with 4.1.2 ? (if so I bail now and forever hold my peace).

After the satellite card NIC is up all I need is all incoming via it and all
outgoing via the phone line NIC. The source IP of all outgoing should be
the Satellite NIC IP. The dumb questions are:

Where do I set it up to listen on the Satellite NIC ? (or will it find it
after the driver is installed)
Where do I set the source IP for the machine (diald.conf ?, or at least the
custom template) ?
Given the machine ends up with 3 NIC's (ether, sat and modem) how does it
know which is "out" etc ?

If these are really stupid questions, please point me at the root of the
knowledge and I'll read from there. I will try and present the solution
back to the "crew" so as to avoid more questions on the topic.

Peter Lambert, definite advocate but a home user.

PS if someone knows of anyone who's already achieved this or you think this
is the wrong place for the question please point (to them or single digit
skywards).
