        Excellent!  Last time I looked, it didn't support tape, which was a
bit of a drawback (a full server backup would take several CDs). 
Even looks like he's tried it with e-smith.  I'll definitely need to
have a closer look at it.

        ...which is why I'm thinking of starting work on it.  If I come up
with something workable, it's (hopefully) that much quicker and
easier for you guys to integrate it into the base distribution.

        Of course, I have an ulterior motive--it'll help me personally. 
Since the stock e-smith backup doesn't restore custom software,
recovering from a drive failure would be quite a hassle for me.  If I
can get something like this working, it'll be much simpler.  The
spirit of open source, no?
