I'd guess yes as these are required for core Mitel features

If you are adding something new via an rpm you have built it is suggested
you should use /etc/e-smith/templates.  If you are changing something that
exists you use /etc/e-smith/templates-custom.

Actually if you follow the above, an upgrade would be ok and the preferred
path to follow in future.

However a fresh install would require you to perform the standard tape
restorere then install your rpm and possibly perform a manual restore of any
updated program, data and config files.  FYI if your app used a mysql
database this should be restored during the standard restore process.  Check
to confirm and make sure your rpm checks for the presence of the mysql
database and does not attempt to recreate if it exists.
