I tried one about a year ago and wasn't very happy with it. In a very general sense, it didn't seem to be a stable connection. That is, I'd receive errors from time to time that the system could not communicate with the device. Almost like the connection was loose or something (which it wasn't). I spent a bit of time trying to find the root of the problem, but couldn't. Further, backup times seemed to be MUCH longer than they are with the IDE tape that I am now using.Has anybody used USB tape backup devices? Anything good or bad to report?
