from what I understood (this may not be the case), there was just one
debian package created around 0.3.8 or so. That build had some
problems, but we didn't find out about it 'till later. So we got a
decent number of people using a semi-broken node. If there are newer
.debs out than the one I know about, I'm sorry, and keep up the good
work. If there aren't, a fixed .deb would be a big help. I know a lot
of debian people are religious updaters, so if we can keep them on the
newest version of the node, that'll be great for the network.

Release early, release often. And optimize for the common case.
We're at a wierd point in development now, with almost dropping work on
0.3, but having a 0.4 that doesn't work yet. At least we have the
client protocols to bridge the gap.
