Could I just butt in here a moment ?
Tavin, are you trying to advocate point-and-clickiness as a means to an end
or as an end in itself?  I'm asking this because, on the one hand, you are
suggesting that it should be easy to add seed nodes to freenet (as you say,
under windoze, just double-click this file, or use some sort of
drag-and-drop target), but on the other hand your suggestion makes it
impossible to install Freenet on a no-brainer windoze system.  Or, rather,
for a no-brainer to install Freenet on a windoze system.
No defaults == no easy installation.
