Hey, folks. So, the main reason I haven't "rolled out" 0.3.9.2 is that
some Java-2-isms snuck in to the code (causing Ian heartache and
pain). I've switched over my build system from a Java 2 compiler to a
1.1.8 compiler to keep this from happening again, and was hoping to
get 0.3.9.3 out sometime this week.
First, I'd appreciate it if anyone who's doing work on 0.3 would do
something similar. This is really a major pain in the ass, and I don't
want to have to do it any more.
Second, the most shitty part of this is I'm finding out that the
entire RDF sub-system is rife with Java 2-isms. It uses the "new"
Collections classes, which means a major chunk of the code is not 1.1
clean.
I've tried hacking it back to 1.1, but this will mean that the code is
new and unstable, and will have to be burnt in for a while. It's also
tedious and annoying.
I'd like some suggestions here. My gut feeling is to throw out the RDF
stuff for this release and put it back in for 0.3.9.4. Another
possibility is throwing out support for 1.1, which sucks because all
the Free JVMs are 1.1.

P.S. Let me reiterate: please start working with a 1.1 JDK. Please do
-not- check in code that you have not compiled with a 1.1 JDK.
