In regards to are the nodes stored in the datastore and therefore not necessary to save them; I think the answer is yes and yes;
Yes I think the usefull nodes are stored in the datastore (Perhaps I should clarify that; my linux box appears to remember the nodes; when I was running a node on my windows box; it didn't seem to - as I don't expect platform differences; I would guess it was changed in the code at some point) However; yes you should also download the nodereferences from your own node; the datastore has been known to get corrupted at times for some people; being able to use what your node was using in the recent past as your nodes starting node list is much better than starting from an old or current publicly available node list (of likely overloaded servers) Please note that I don't consider myself an expert of freenet by any means; but I thought I would try to provide a possible answer (and I hope not too far from the truth :) Trevor _______________________________________________ devl mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devl
