Hmm, the only modal dialog you're likely to encounter would be the one that says 'Couldn't download blah, do you want to continue the installation (using your pre-existing blah'. And that will only appear if there is an *error* during downloading. The old webinstaller had this too: It said "Couldn't download blah, installation aborted, press OK to exit".
