thx. But something different - I tried to install the freenet installer twice into different directories (i.e. my first install was into the old C:\Programme\Internet\Freenet 0.5, and i wanted to make a fresh install to C:\Programme\Internet\Freenet_0.5 as well) and now it does some strange things - when all files are downloaded, they are simply cut to 8 chars and placed in the dir where freenet-webinstaller.exe is. The links on start menu point to C:\freenet.exe etc. When I install it to the old dir, it works. When it works, next time I try it suggests the same path, but with 8.3 names (e.g. "C:\progra~1\internet\freene~1.5") - that looks ugly. And once I got "update of freenet-latest.jar failed". No more description, and I was online all the tome. And when I started the new freenet.exe first, the entries in the context menu looked as if they were disabled, but they worked. that one could also be a bug in my graphics driver, so if you cannot reproduce it, forget it. When i started it next time, it worked. So even I cannot reproduce that. mihi, after a dozen installations i give up. _______________________________________________ devl mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hawk.freenetproject.org:8080/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devl
