We need to make the wininstaller in particular, and also the start scripts, add -Xmx256M to the startup options to java. Ideally we want this to be configurable. Also we should raise the system requirements stated on the web site to reflect this. This has recently gotten significantly worse because java 1.4.2 sets it to 64M, which even in an ideal world is not going to be enough. I can deal with the unix startup scripts if necessary, but I need somebody to fix the wininstaller, if it hasn't already been.
