This seems the sanest way to go, at least for windows users, which it sounds like we're primarily discussing. Nice and simple, should be understood by just about anyone (even if they don't know the terminology, I think most people realise their connection has some kind limit). The references to file-sharing apps, though likely true, aren't necessarily useful - Freenet isn't a file-sharing app, remember? :P Though some people will be coming from that background, a lot won't. so we need to cater for those too.
