OK, Let them. Wait, hear me out! If a company wants to take Freenet in a 
different direction, tell them "You can higher your own developers to work on 
Freenet. We will talk with them, and accept their changes to the code if we 
think they are an improvement." Then they can higher whoever they want, worst 
case scenario, they do something you do not like and end up maintaining their 
own branch. No loss. Freenet gains through any general improvements they 
make. This cannot harm the project.
