Roger (and all),
I don't understand all this stuff extremely well myself, but I found
that by using the "switch to advanced mode" main (fred) HTML menu,
then Node Status Interface, then 4th link (3rd under Histograms) ,
is "histogram of keys in the local datastore" - I'm not certain these
are the keys (to specialize in) that matter, but I think they are.
The detail link breaks it down into 256 spaces, the general into
16. In both cases, mine indicates hardly any specialization at all
on my node (for 1G data/5069 keys)! Running 6213 for 50(?) hours,
datastore is maybe a week old. Datastore size is 1.2G, 78% full.
Does this matter? When should my specialization begin to occur
(timewise, bit-wise/traffic, percent of datastore filled...) ?
Can anyone advise me to keep running this version to observe
whether specialization improves , or to upgrade ? Am I incorrectly interpreting what these histograms represent ?

Can anyone tell me if NGR has disposed of key-specialization

I understand the protocol considerably less than you do, but I can't see that Freenet can work without specialisation. So, can whoever answers the above very important question explain to me how I tell what degree of specialisation my nodes have? Ever since NGR I have been unable to
