There's no good way to measure specialization. Looking at a barcode, a person can see clumps in routing points, which would indicate that your node is knowledgeable about certain areas of the keyspace, usually implying that your node is being asked for those keys a lot, and has those keys in its store. With NGRouting, there's a 'graph' for each neighbor that your node knows about, and plotting those graphs on top of each other (which is more or less what the barcode was in the old scheme) would just make a mess.
