How exactly do you reconcile this with the fact that the NGRouting estimate subtracts pLegitDNF from pDNF when calculating it's estimate? Surely we would have to calculate it twice, once without the legit DNFs correction, for your stat to be meaningful?
Good question. The answer is to just use this mechanism to compare the estimates returned by etSuccessSearch and etTransferRate with the actual time for a successful search and the actual transfer rate.
This would therefore be a good way to measure the performance of these two core estimators, but would not test the accuracy of the DNF related estimators (although a similar stat could test the performance of etDNF in the same way).
