So people cannot translate on Transifex unless we authorize them? Is there any real benefit to this? It raises the entrance barrier, which might prevent people from contributing. Of course we DO NOT want to get wrong translations because Freenet is security related, so there needs to be some control. But that should rather be peer review. Does Transifex have a review system? Another possible tradeoff would be configuring it to only automatically allow people to translate if their ratings are good. Dunno if Transifex has a rating system, just speculating.
