Given the fact that purge-db4o is likely to break auto-update due to the large 
amount of modifications, can you please deploy testing builds by a special 
testing update USK so people can use the auto-updater to obtain the latest 
testing build and thus implicitly test auto update?

This will also give you more testers probably because it is less hassle than 
manual replacing of JARs. Once testing is finished, you could offer an "undo" 
build which resets the USK back to the main update USK, so the testing nodes 
won't become zombies.
