Did you know that Pooky's Page is still available?

I kind of like the idea that information in Freenet is immune to censorship even
by the informer. I like that a person has to think carefully about what they're
about to say, before they say it. That once it's been recorded, the record is
frozen for as long as somebody is interested in hearing it. It makes for
greater honesty.

Suppose Radio Free Freenet takes its hold. A person chooses to request the
data, and it gets sent to their node. As soon as it gets there, if it's really
not wanted anymore then it's already decaying. If it really is time sensitive
material then it'll go away on its own when the appropriate time has passed. To
the extent that it's not time sensitive, it'll stick around.

Perhaps the LRU is not the best solution to the problem (perhaps it is).
Perhaps something will have to be done to keep streams of blocks from
annihilating the rest of the content of the datastore, but whatever algorithm is
used, I'd like to let *it* do the job of deleting stuff. I'd rather not have
someone else being able to give commands to my node to tell it to delete stuff.
