With a grade in computer science, I know that you don't just expected to enter some openid and get entrance. Of course you already checked the openid trouble page (http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/wiki/OpenID) and checked if your openid is supported. If you did all of this, then you found a bug in the system. You could open a bug report to support them to fix this for the future. We all hope that the freenet users do the same when they find a bug, rather than to delete freenet.
