Oh and did I mention it's a major pain to do a GUI yes/no dialog on unix/mac, 
portably in a way that always works? We don't have a system tray applet on unix 
but we do have start menu shortcuts, including Browse Freenet... On the other 
hand on Windows we'd probably need to enumerate all processes, which probably 
means some hackery involving the windows api, assuming AHK doesn't provide 
something.

But it doesn't solve the basic problem: IT SHOULD JUST WORK!

If the problem doesn't arise with Chrome then that might be a feasible solution 
at least on Windows (and presumably Mac)...
