I feel that this needs an answer. I’m fine with releasing it, because I do not want to add yet one more hurdle before we can finally release from next. I’m not happy to release anything with failing tests, but I see the alternative of delaying next even more as much worse. The solution to fix the tests on master is to release from next. Which is where we finally arrived at this year and I am happy to finally no longer have to worry about deviations between next and master because we can now just update test-run fix and then release next and I don’t intend to expend more work to make rupturing which was forced upon me less sharp because it’s already been too long and I intentionally wrote this sentence without point and comma because that’s how the last 18 months felt with ever more requirements being thrown in front of me by the person who should have the biggest interest in not throwing more hurdles in front of finally getting next released because he spearheaded getting next where it is today. Short: Could we stop this and focus on releasing next? This is not constructive and trying to start serious decisionmaking about things right here won’t work because emotions already run wild.
