Dear Friend, Please help stop the cruel Canadian seal hunt.
Canada's annual seal hunt is the largest slaughter of marine mammals on the planet. Last year, the world looked on in horror as the Canadian government permitted the slaughter of more than 330,000 harp seals. Baby seals are shot or repeatedly clubbed, an estimated 42 percent are skinned alive, and their bodies are left to rot on the ice floes. Veterinarians who studied past hunts found that hunters failed to comply with Canada's basic animal welfare standards. All kind people are heartbroken at the slaughter of these innocent animals, but being heartbroken is not enough. Please contact Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and demand that he put an end to the cruel slaughter of baby seals.
