I don't think you can.  Since a host on net x would detect that net y is
not local (different network number), it has no choice but to send it to
the default gateway.  Maybe you could set up static routes via dhcp but
I think that would require knowing the host IP first and if you knew
that, then why use DHCP?  

Unfortunately, although all the hosts may be on the same wire, network
rules are going to take precedence over MAC layer rules since net y will
be considered non-local by net x and vice versa.

So again, I don't think it can be done but I'm no expert (or maybe I
don't fully understand what you're trying to do?)  Curious, why would
you not want the default gateway in the picture?
