It definitely cannot. What I needed to do was have eth0 and eth2 get
an IP over the eth2 interface, with eth1 being statically defined as a
DHCP server. The eth0 and eth2 were dhcp clients, which I was hoping to
have both request over eth2 somehow.

BTW, Ted, I'm now pretty darn sure that the dhcp server or the route
required to run it in Linux is keeping Samba from running, but I need to
do more testing... No time at all anymore. If anyone else could
confirm or deny dhcpd and samba not running on the same interface (one
nic), I'd be interested to know. Thanks!
