The university I attend uses dhcp so we can take our laptops around and
plug in many different places.
For me someplaces work some don't, the strange thing is there is only one
computer that replys to dhcp requests and it is the same not matter where I
am. It used to be it worked or the server didn't send anything back (one
location worked the next didn't and the same location didn't change).
I just installed the latest dhcp-2.0b1pl25, now it responds, but the
dhclient won't listen, here is the tcpdump. If the rfc's say the server is
supposed to be doing something different, tell me where the relavant
documents are and what it should do and I'll try to find out what they are
using.
