Can this be changed through the GTK resource files? Otherwise I can check the code out myself and make the required changes under linux, not sure how to build the windows executables.

I'd like to see my full layer names :) I'm using DIA to designe the functionality of a complex piece of machinery by the way.. I've got dozens and dozens of layers.. and thousands of objects..
