First of all, thanks everyone for your responses. Yes, the first part of my question was deliberately naïve just to make sure I did not miss anything too obvious. Some good did come out of it :)
Let me be clearer on what I am trying to do: I am trying to create an app where I can a. Define my own composite object and save it as an object(icon) in my own sheet b. Drag and drop the object from the sheet into the canvass and have it expands out as a collection of objects. c. Reduce clutter in the screen by creating composite objects, such that when double-clicked, will open a new layer or a sheet. This way, the sheets can remain generally hierarchical, and easy to navigate. Of course, I understand this is indeed wishful, but it doesn't hurt to ask if it's already possible or in the works. Once again, everything so far is much appreciated. -Ambar -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Hans Breuer Sent: Sunday, December 27, 2009 10:18 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Grouping of objects At 25.12.2009 15:59, yami wrote: > I'm wondering: > Why the user asked such an 'obvious' question? > I'm wondering, too. > I guess it is because when a user selects multiple shapes, the popup (right > click) menu shows nothing (because there is NO popup menu!) > Good idea.
