File format conversion is what we want. A brief overview of our
document production proces:
1) write docs in LaTeX
2) draw diagrams in Dia
3) a Makefile runs "dia --export filename.eps filename.dia", generating
an EPS document
4) pdfLaTeX is run to generate a PDF
All we really need is a command line tool to translate Dia to EPS. At
the moment when we generate the EPS files the splash screen appears for
every file (actually the border of the slash screen appears as Dia loads
too fast - what does the splash screen look like?)
