Hi everyone,
There are just a few days left to submit nominations to the World Summit
Awards USA competition. Nominations must be submitted no later than May 30.
An official event of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS),
an international summit organized by the United Nations, the World
Summit Awards will take place in more than 150 countries around the
globe. The contest seeks to highlight the best digital content from each
country, emphasizing content that helps promote the development of an
"information society." I'm serving as coordinator of the USA competition.
We're seeking nominations for the best websites and CD-ROMs from the USA
in the following categories:
e-business
e-culture
e-entertainment
e-government
e-health
e-inclusion
e-learning
e-science
I've assembled a team of more than a dozen volunteers representing a
range of expertise in online content. We will review the nominations and
select a winner in each category; the winner will then represent the USA
in the international competition.

CD-ROMs must also be received no later than May 30. Please mail them to
Andy Carvin, EDC Center for Media & Community, 55 Chapel Street, Newton,
MA 02458. Winners of the USA competition will be announced the first
week of July.
