"Technology activist" isn't really a new term; I've been hearing it for at least a decade. Do a Google search for it and you'll get at least 500 hits. I also searched google groups and found Phil Agre using it in a CPSR newsletter in August 1994. So it's more of an oldie-but-goodie than anything else... -andy

Actually, a lot of people don't realize it... but I believe that it's actually Andy who coined the term, at least in describing me.

- I anticipate that those words will save me - and many other technology activists - lots of long complicated descriptions. Now we can simply say what we *are* - instead of having to describe what we are trying to do. Brilliant.

Andy deserves a bow on that one.
