This is very true, several of my colleagues and our organization has been using this term in programs and civic engagement. We have a program that we call Techno Activism Project which we do in partnership with SALSA as an ongoing training series www.hotsalsa.org. We've been doing programs like this for over five years.
We work with social activists to become techno activists. Many are and don't know it. Peace and Blessings Shireen Mitchell ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Executive Officer - Digital Sisters, Inc. "Technology activist" isn't really a new term; I've been hearing it for at least a decade. Do a Google search for it and you'll get at least 500 hits.
