So hope for the best but maybe don't be too disappointed if there's no room on the schedule.
Note that my schedule over the next year will probably preclude me from having the time to prepare a talk. So there'll likely be one slot that I usually take waiting to be filled by someone with great new ideas.
This is something I'd personally prefer in general to be honest. It's a far better display of an active community if it's not just the same people presenting every year.
