I strongly agree with this. I have never understood the concept of 
moving off a calling frequency once contact is made unless the reason is 
due to annoying those listening to a given dedicated frequency as we do 
on 2 meter simplex. Even there, I question the wisdom of doing that in 
less populated areas because then no one ever monitors the "calling" 
frequency and it becomes of little value in an emergency.

In this case, if the digital calling frequency is busy, the next station 
can either wait until the frequency is clear, contact one of the other 
stations on the frequency when an opening occurs, or better yet, move up 
a hundred Hz and operate with the digital mode of your choice.
